Five nabbed for stealing laptops
NEW DELHI: Five persons, including two teenagers, have been arrested for alleged involvement in several cases of laptop theft in Delhi and its neighbouring areas. The police claim to have recovered five laptops allegedly stolen from Mandawali, Laxmi Nagar, Rani Bagh, Noida and Ghaziabad.
Acting on a tip-off, a South-East special staff team laid a trap near a hotel in New Friends Colony on October 31 and arrested Ajay (21) and Sarvan (19). Two stolen laptops were allegedly recovered from them. Their three accomplices -- Murli (20), Mukesh (20) and Vinayak (18) -- were later arrested at their instance and three more stolen laptops allegedly recovered. The police claim to have worked out six cases with the arrest. It was revealed that the gang members broke the windowpanes of cars parked in the open at night and stole laptops.
