MANGALORE: In response to the Public Eye of October 22, J.F. D’Souza of Attavar says: “Although the warning by the district in-charge Minister of stern action against those dumping debris is timely, action always speaks louder than words. Giving warnings without action does not serve any purpose. I think the MCC should allocate some places to dump debris and publicise them. If anyone violates the rules repeatedly, fine should be increased and vehicle used for the purpose confiscated. But funnily, even the MCC dumps huge pipes on the roadside, as it has done near Gerosa High School, Jeppu, and on the stretch between Vaman Nayal Clock Shop and Nandigudda Circle.”
