Air Works’ MRO at Hosur gets EASA certification
Special Correspondent
NEW DELHI: Air Works, a leading private aircraft maintenance company, has obtained European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) repair station certification for its maintenance facilities at Hosur in Tamil Nadu. This is the first time EASA has awarded a repairs station approval to an aircraft maintenance-repair-overhaul (MRO) company in India.
Announcing EASA approval at a press conference here on Tuesday, Ravi Menon, Executive Director of Air Works, said the certification was globally recognised and would enable the company to service not only aircraft from India but also from around the world.
Fredrik Groth, CEO, Air Works, said “India will be among the high-growth markets for aviation industry.”
Air Works had already undertook maintenance work for aircraft of SpiceJet, Kingfisher and Jet Airways and its Hosur facility is likely to add Airbus A-320 airframe capability over the next two to three months.
