Bagan launches another academy
KOLKATA: Mohun Bagan announced the launch of its second academy, which will come up in the North Bengal district town of Japaiguri.
With its first academy in partnership with Steel Authority of India running successfully in Durgapur, Mohun Bagan has tied up with the P.C. Mittal Group to tap talent from the northern parts of the State.
The academy, which will be inaugurated on November 21, would begin with 40 residential and non-residential trainees, who would be scouted mainly from the northern districts.
The trainees, falling within the 16-19 age group, would be picked for the Mohun Bagan junior team, club secretary Anjan Mitra said here on Tuesday. — Principal Correspondent
