KALPETTA: Vishnu Narayan of Alappuzha and Adheena K. Latheef of Idukki won double tiles in the State senior table tennis championships here on Tuesday.

The results (singles): Men (final): Vishnu Narayan (Alp) bt S. Sunder (Alp) 11-8, 9-11, 11-8, 14-12, 11-2. Semifinals: Vishnu Narayan bt Harikrishnan (Tvm) 11-9, 6-11, 11-3; Sunder bt P. Adarsh (Tvm) 11-9, 11-9, 6-11, 13-11, 9-11, 8-11, 13-11.

Mount Carmel ‘A’ scores win

The host Mount Carmel HSS ‘A’ defeated Koratty’s Little Flower HSS 40-19 in the 24th Sr. Virginia memorial all-India schools basketball tournament at Kanjikuzhy on Tuesday.

The results: Group A: Mount Carmel HSS ‘A’, Kottayam 40 (Jane Mercella 17) bt Little Flower, Koratty 29 (Ann Thomas 10).
