Rare inscriptions found in Mundagod

Sirsi: Three rare copper plate inscriptions from the 12th Century AD, related to Kadamba dynasty, were unearthed from the fields of Madhukeshwar Subray Bhat of Shanavalli village in Mundagod taluk, according to sources. The inscriptions are in Nandinagara script. According to Ganapati Kali, research scholar of Hulimane in Sagar taluk, the inscription is about Mayuravarma, founder of the Kadamba dynasty. Mr. Bhat handed over the inscriptions to tahsildar Mrutyunjaya on Monday. — Correspondent
