Three bookies held, Rs. 9 lakh seized

KADAPA: The Proddatur police arrested three bookies – Shaik Mohd. Ghouse, Mohd. Iliyas and Yele Narasimhulu - in Proddatur town and seized Rs. 9.01 lakh, 30 cell phones, a television set and calculators. Four other bookies fled during the police raid, Proddatur DSP Vannur Saheb. The bookies were changing mobile SIM cards and organising cricket betting, he said. –Special Correspondent
