Bidar
I will get firsthand information on problems being faced by people: Kashempur A gram sabha to be held in the tanda BIDAR: Bidar South MLA Bandeppa Kashempur on Tuesday launched a village stay programme at Devagiri tanda in Humnabad taluk. Devagiri tanda, which was part of Humnabad Assembly constituency, was included in the Bidar South segment following the delimitation exercise. There are four tandas in the vicinity of Devagiri tanda and all of them are located in forest areas. Mr. Kashempur told presspersons that he was launching the village stay programme to establish direct contact with the people of his constituency and to get firsthand information on problems being faced by them. A gram sabha would be held in the tanda and officials had been directed to take part in it, he said. The gram sabha would provide an opportunity to the people to inform the authorities about the problems they were facing. The MLA said the State unit president of the Janata Dal (Secular) H.D. Kumaraswamy had launched the village stay programme when he was the Chief Minister. Mr. Kashempur said that he would hold more such programmes in the coming days. Bidar Zilla Panchayat member Kushalrao Yaba, Humnabad tashidar S.N. Wari and Humnabad Taluk Panchayat executive officer Sashikanth Malli were among those who were present.
