Road safety: signboards mandatory

ADILABAD: Adilabad Collector Ahmad Nadeem on Tuesday asked concerned authorities to put up appropriate sign boards at blind ends and narrow bridges on roads where a good number of accidents occur. He said transport authorities should ensure that no vehicle moves without the mandatory fluorescent stickers. Chairing the meeting of the road safety committee, Mr. Nadeem said this year the road accidents have registered a downtrend as compared to 2008. He wanted authorities to book cases against over-loaded vehiclesbesides, those fitted with music system.

Adilabad Superintendent of Police P. Promod Kumar and Deputy Transport Commissioner Narsimha Reddy were present .
