Citu flays orders regulating LTC

KADAPA: CITU district president A. Raghunath Reddy on Tuesday resented orders regulating the leave travel concession of Central government employees and demanded their withdrawal. The orders stipulated that hired cars should not be used, but they should only travel by fight, buses or trains as per eligibility. Taking cue from the Centre, PSUs and State government too might issue similar orders, he said. Less than 30 per cent of employees in Life Insurance Corporation of India were utilising LTC facility and stipulation not to use hired cars would pose hardships, Mr. Raghunath Reddy said.
