Government officials to meet public

PUDUCHERRY: Public can interact with officials of various government departments during the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Awareness Week, which began on Tuesday.

Officials from the departments would meet the public at the conference hall of the Cooperative Union Building on Suffern Street.

On Wednesday, officials from the Commercial Taxes Department will be present at the hall from 10. a.m. to 11.30 a.m. and Transport Department officials from 11.30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Police officials will be present from 10 a.m. to 11. 30 a.m., and Revenue, Survey and Land Records Department officials from 11. 30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday.

Officials from Public Works and Electricity and Local Administration Departments, and Town and Country Planning and Slum Clearance Board will meet the public from 10 a.m. to 11. 15 a.m. and 11. 30 a.m. to 1 p.m. respectively on Friday.

The valedictory function will be held on Saturday.
