Police varsity on the cards

Rajahmundry: CN Gopinatha Reddy, Additional Director-General of Police and Director of Police Andhra Pradesh Police Academy, has announced that proposals are pending with the government for setting up a police university in the State.

Addressing reporters after participating in the passing out parade of police constables of the first batch at the Rajahmundry Training Centre on Tuesday, Mr. Gopinatha Reddy said the university would help the Police Department personnel equip themselves with basic education and research in crime control. SP Y. Nagi Reddy, Additional SP Janardhan and DSP D. Janaki were present.
