‘Party trusts Sonia leadership’

Bhimavaram: Panabaka Lakshmi, Union Minister of State for Handloom and Textiles, said at a press conference here on Tuesday that AICC president Sonia Gandhi had nominated K. Rosaiah Chief Minister of the State in place of Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy who died in helicopter crash. She said the Congress party had utmost respect towards the leadership of Mrs. Gandhi.
She said Mr. Rosaiah was a senior Congress leader. She said the Handloom and Textiles department of Central Government had allocated sufficient funds for the development of handlooms and textiles. Vatti Vasantha Kumar, Minister for Rural Development, said the Ministry had infused confidence in the leadership of Mr Rosaiah.
