Live bullets found at Kotla

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: Seven live bullets were found inside the Ferozeshah Kotla Stadium here on Saturday hours before the start of the third one-day international cricket match between India and Australia.

The bullets, wrapped in a piece of paper, were in a public toilet during an anti-sabotage check carried out by the bomb squad.

“The bullets appear to be old,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police DCP (Central Delhi) Jaspal Singh.

“It is possible that some security personnel left them behind. All possible angles are being investigated.”
