Stale meat seized

KOZHIKODE: About 100 kg of stale beef was seized in a raid conducted by the Health Department on meat and fish markets at Poovattuparambu and Kuttikatoor in Peruvayal grama panchayat. The raid was led by K.P. Krishnadas, Health Inspector, Perummana PHC, and K.K. Akbar, civil veterinary surgeon, based on a directive from the panchayat. The shop was sealed and its licence was cancelled.

The officials searched conducted searches at three fish stalls and four meat stalls. — Staff Reporter
