Water level

MADURAI: Water level in the Periyar dam on Tuesday stood at 119.50 feet (full level 136 feet) with an inflow of 582 cusecs and a discharge of 1,200 cusecs. The level in the Vaigai dam was 59.89 feet (71 feet) with an inflow of 816 cusecs and a discharge of 1,660 cusecs. The combined Periyar credit stood at 5,009 mcft. Kallandiri recorded 16.2 mm of rainfall followed by Pulipatti 14, Thaniyamangalam 13.5, Madurai 6.8, Sittampatti 6.6, Melur 6 and Idayapatti 3.4 mm.
