GULBARGA: The Communist Party of India (CPI) on Tuesday criticised the ruling BJP for “failing” to provide relief to the flood-affected people and the rebellion by the Reddy brothers of Bellary against Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa which has brought the administration to a standstill. CPI workers, led by the party secretary Shoukat Ali Alur, took out a procession and staged a demonstration at the Rashtrapati Chowk. Mr. Alur said that the Chief Minister, who took the help of the mining lords for “operation kamala”, was now facing “operation Yeddyurappa” launched by them. “What is happening now in Karnataka politics and the BJP should be a lesson to the political parties which believe in money and muscle power to come to power,” he said.
