Association hails order

COIMBATORE: The Indian Wind Power Association has welcomed the recent orders of the Madras High Court and the Tamil Nadu Energy Regulatory Commission regarding use of power during peak hours by the captive wind energy generators.

Chairman of the association K. Kasthurirangaian said the order would benefit all captive users of wind energy in the State.With power shortage in the State, the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board had restricted use of power during the peak hours. With the recent orders, captive wind energy generators would be able to use power during the peak hours to the extent of energy banked by them.
