E.I.D. – Parry India Q2 profit at Rs. 40 crore

CHENNAI: The turnover of E.I.D.-Parry (India) for the quarter ended September 30, 2009 was Rs. 270.01 crore against Rs. 251.45 crore in the year-ago period. The profit after tax stood at Rs. 40.18 crore (Rs. 611.89 crore). In the corresponding period last year there was an exceptional income of Rs. 749.18 crore which included the profit on sale of shares held in joint ventures Parryware Roca and Parry Monsanto Seeds Private Ltd.
