Zenith Birla reports sharp rise in Q2 profit

MUMBAI: Zenith Birla, the flagship company of the Yash Birla Group, has posted a sharp rise in its profit after tax in the second quarter ended September 30, 2009 at Rs. 4.48 crore against Rs. 1.54 crore in the year-ago period. The company, together with its subsidiaries, manufactures and sells steel pipes and cutting tools in India.
