Ranji Trophy schedule
CHENNAI: The 76th season of the Ranji Trophy commences on November 3 with defending champion Mumbai taking on Punjab at Mohali to kick off the Elite Group.
Last year’s finalist Uttar Pradesh will begin its campaign against Karnataka in Meerut.
The BCCI had earlier announced a massive increase in prize money to ensure the relevance of India’s premier domestic tournament in the face of stiff competition from other, shorter events.
Nov. 3 to Nov. 6: Baroda vs Delhi (Vadodara), Gujarat vs Orissa (Ahmedabad), Hyderabad vs Himachal Pradesh (Hyderabad), Maharashtra vs Bengal (Pune), Punjab vs Mumbai (Chandigarh), Railways vs Tamil Nadu (Delhi), Uttar Pradesh vs Karnataka (Meerut).
