NEW DELHI: Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee is slated to inaugurate the customary ‘Economic editors’ conference’ at the National Media Centre here on Tuesday. Apart from the Finance Ministry, the Planning Commission and the Ministries of Power, Agriculture, Commerce and Industry, Road Transport and Highways, Tourism, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation and Petroleum and Natural Gas are participating in the conference. The conference will enable economic editors and journalists, invited from all over the country to interact with them and get a detailed background of the government’s policies and programmes and a comprehensive view of the overall economic scenario in the country, an official release said.
