GSI awards to 11 doctors

HYDERABAD: The Geriatric Society of India (GSI), Hyderabad on Sunday awarded fellowships to 11 eminent doctors from various parts of the country in its annual convocation held at Alumni Education Centre, Gandhi Medical College. The doctors were elected as the members of GSI and received awards from GSI president Dr. P. S. Shankar in the presence of professor Kakarla Subba Rao.

The doctors who received the fellowships, include Dr. M. Manchaiah, Dr. K. Mohan Kumar, Dr. P. Murugesh, Dr. Anand. P. Ambali, Dr. K. Vijay Lakshmi, Dr. V. Ramakrishna, Dr. Vohra, Dr. U. Vinayak Rao, Dr. Anil Kumar Jha, Dr. I. S. Jain and Dr. A Krishna Prasad.

In his convocation address, Kakarla Subba Rao called upon the doctors to enhance the image of medical profession.
