State junior team
BANGALORE: Prakash Jolly and Jacqueline Kunnath will spearhead Karnataka’s challenge in the 34th National junior badminton championship which gets underway at Mandya with qualifying rounds for the open events on Monday.
Karnataka shuttlers will first compete in the inter-state meet for the Narang Cup (boys) and Shafi Quereshi Cup (girls), which will be played on November.3 and 4, followed by the main draw of the open events from November 5.
The team: Boys: Prakash Jolly, Sunil Varma, Rajas Jawalkar, R.N. Suraj, Sonic Prabhu Desai, Karandeep Singh, B. Praveen, Sachin Shetty and Prathap Menon.
Girls: Jacqueline Kunnath, Poorvisha Ram, Reshma Karthik and Sangeetha Udupa.
