BANGALORE: Shreyal Telang’s cup of woes was full. The top seed, who lost in the sub-junior boys singles on Saturday, went down in the final of the junior boys singles to P. Puneeth in the M.S. Ramaiah State ranking table tennis championship at the Canara Union here on Sunday. Puneeth won 11-9, 7-11, 11-9, 11-4, 8-11, 7-11, 11-9. N. Poojitha bagged the junior girls title with a 11-6, 13-11, 11-8, 12-10 victory over C. Subashree in the final. Other results: Junior boys semifinals: Shreyal bt Vedanth Urs 9-11, 15-13, 11-5, 7-11, 11-8, 11-1; Puneeth bt G. Premchander 13-11, 11-8, 11-7, 7-11, 11-7. Junior girls semifinals: Poojitha bt B.S. Arpita 11-7, 11-5, 12-10, 11-9; Subashree bt Maitreyi Bailoor 9-11, 7-11, 11-8, 11-6, 7-11, 11-8, 11-5.
