BJP calls bandh against price rise

Special Correspondent

KOLKATA: The Bharatiya Janata Party has called a 12-hour bandh in West Bengal on November 30 in protest against the government’s failure to check the rise in prices of essential commodities.

The bandh will be the culmination of the party’s month-long agitation on the issue which got underway on Sunday, the BJP’s State President. Rahul Sinha, told The Hindu here.

“The party shall be approaching all political parties excepting the Communist Party of India (Marxist) to support the bandh call as the issue involves the interests of all sections of people”, he added.
