Meet on emergency and trauma

COIMBATORE: The Fifth Indo-U.S. Emergency Medicine Summit 2009 will be held from October 30 to November 1 at the PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research.

Issues

The meet will cover a wide range of issues such as trauma, toxicology, emergency management, disaster medicine, haemorrhagic syndrome, treating snake bites, problems during pregnancy, cardiogenic shock, fever and rashes in children and treatment of tetanus.

Disasters

Specific meets on emergency and trauma, emergency nursing, disasters and continuing medical education will be conducted.

Medical faculty, medical students, nurses, paramedics, practising physicians, health administrators and policy makers can attend the sessions.

Career conference

An Indo-U.S. career conference for medical students has also been organised.
