NEW DELHI: Gagan Narang finished fourth in the men’s 50m rifle 3-position event in the World Cup final in Wuxi, China, on Wednesday. Gagan had a total of 1,267.3 after a 1,169 in qualification. He had 398 in prone, 385 in standing and 386 in kneeling. It was an improvement from the earlier performance, as Gagan had finished sixth in air rifle following a qualification score of 591. In women’s 10-metre air pistol, Heena Sidhu finished 10th and last with a score of 375, following a series of 93, 91, 97 and 94. It was a below par fare from the 20-year-old who had won the silver in the World Cup in Beijing with a total of 486.8 after a qualification score of 385. She had also shot impressive scores of 384 and 383 in the World Cups in Munich and Milan this season. The results: Men: 50m rifle 3P: 1. Matthew Emmons (US) 1,277.3 (1,177); 2. Jinseop Han (Kor) 1,274.6 (1180); 3. Ole Magnus Bakken (Nor) 1,270.0 (,1180); 4. Gagan Narang 1,267.3 (1,169). Women: 10m air pistol: 1. Hu Jun (Chn) 486.9 (387); 2. Viktoria Chaika (Blr) 486.6 (387); 3. Guo Wenjun (Chn) 485.3 (387); 10. Heena Sidhu 375.
