Thrissur
Producers, directors and technicians rarely take pains to make films for the young, says director.
T. G. Ravi in ‘Innalaye Thedi’. Thrissur: ‘Innalaye Thedi’, a children’s film directed by Aravindan Nelluvai, portrays the relationship between a nomad and his son. Actor T. G. Ravi plays the lead in the film. A former production executive in the film productions of Lohithadas, Mr. Nelluvai has shot the film in Thrissur and Vadanapilly. ‘Value-based’“For long I have wanted to make a children’s film. Why a children’s film? There are any number films being made for adults. But producers, directors and technicians rarely take pains to make films for the young. Hence, I decided to make one,” says Mr. Aravindan. He claims that his film is value-based. “It makes an attempt to tell children the importance of love, compassion and sacrifice in life. Children’s films, I believe, should not preach. Children hate to be taught, but love to learn. Values should be instilled in them through stories,” he says. ‘Innalaye Thedi’ also stars Kiran Raj, Habib Khan, Shibu Tulips, Anil Krishnan, Rama Devi and Mini Arun. Ravi Chandran cranks the camera. Ajay Kumar has written the dialogue.
