JD(S) State unit expanded

New Delhi: Janata Dal (Secular) president H.D. Deve Gowda on Saturday expanded the party’s Kerala unit by inducting two representatives of the Socialist Janata Party which had merged with it.

While Mathew Thomas, Thavidi Krishnan Nair and Benny Kurian have been retained in the unit, Mr. Gowda included C.K. Nanu and George Thomas as secretary-general and general secretary respectively. N.M. Joseph remains the State party chief.

Both Mr. Nanu and Mr. George Thomas belong to the Socialist Janata Party which merged with the JD(S). — PTI
