KOLLAM: The Susthira Vikasana Yatra of the Janasree Mission from Kasaragod to Thiruvananthapuram, led by Congress leader M.M. Hassan, will enter Kollam on Sunday at Pathanapuram for a three-day campaign in the district. The campaign will be inaugurated by DCC president Kadavur Sivadasan. Chairman of the Janasree district mission M. Bhaskaran said that the mission stood for the eradication of unemployment and poverty. The mission gave priority to micro-financing, micro-enterprises and micro-insurance. “The aim is to bring social development through social change,” he said. The mission had no competitor. It was an apolitical body in which members from the APL and BPL groups could join. The mission had 86 mandalam sabhas in the district, he said.
