e-Payment facility

ERODE: Government of Tamil Nadu has introduced e-payment facility for its dealers to pay tax anywhere, anytime.

In a release the Commercial Taxes Department says through the simple, transparent, secure and safe facility, dealers with taxable turnover of over Rs. 200 crore and also others may pay tax.

The traders may pay through the branches of State Bank of India, the release says and adds that efforts are being made to help the traders pay through branches of Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank and also Bank of Baroda.

For further assistance, traders may approach joint commissioners in district or can obtain details from the toll-free number: 1800-4250-960.

Traders may also access details from www.tn.vat.gov.in or www.onlinesbi.com.

The move the release says is part of the e-governance initiatives of the Department, which introduced e-filing facility as early as November 2007.
