Over 500 challaned for traffic violations

New Delhi: A total of 573 persons were challaned for violating traffic regulations, with drunken drivers topping the list during a three hour drive by authorities, police said here on Saturday.

Out of the 573 people challaned, 384 were caught driving under the influence of alcohol while 77 persons were challaned for dangerous driving during the drive conducted between 9 p.m. and 12 midnight, officials said.
