Heroin worth Rs 17 crore seized

NEW DELHI: A 38-year-old man has been arrested by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) for allegedly being in possession of heroin.
Acting on a tip-off, a DRI team arrested Mathar Khan near Tikri border on Friday and allegedly seized 16.5 kg of heroin.
The contraband is valued at Rs.17 crore in the international market.
Mathar is a resident of Jaisalmer district in Rajasthan.
The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence has seized five consignments of heroin in the Capital in the past 40 days. A total of 72 kg of the contraband has been seized.
