Stage set for Rolon-FMSCI National racing

Coimbatore: The second round of the fourth edition of the Rolon FMSCI National racing championship begins at the Kari Motor Speedway in Chettipalayam, near here, on Saturday.

Team Red Rooster opened its campaign on a splendid note with three of its international riders coming up with a stupendous show. At the end of the first round, K. Rajini, with 10 points, is marginally ahead of Rohit V. Giri (8pts) and Preetham Dev Moses (6 pts) in Group ‘A’ FIM 600cc super bike (four-stroke) class. P. Karthick of Team TVS Racing is in a similar position in the expert category (Group ‘B’ four-stroke 130-165cc). He is closely followed by veteran racer Sriskandarajah (8 pts) of Team Sidvin and T.K. Vishwanath (6 pts) of Team TVS.

The qualifying races will be held on Saturday followed by the main races the next day. A few of the opening round races, which were curtailed due to rain, will also be held this weekend.
