VISAKHAPATNAM: Delhi picked up two golds through Hemant Rawat and Nikhil Nagpal in the boys’ bantam and welter weights respectively on the first day of competitions in the 27th sub-junior National taekwondo championships at the Swarna Bharati indoor stadium here on Friday. Nearly 600 boys and girls from 29 State units are participating in the championships. Medal winners: Boys: Light heavy: 1. Pranshul Bhargava (UP), 2. Ankit Sharma (Raj), 3. Jyotirmoy Boro (Asm) and Sudesh Lepcha (Sik). Welter: 1. Nikhil Nagpal (Del), 2. Manish Baghel (UP), 3. Alok Soren (Jhr) and Ashutosh Kumar (Bih). Bantam: 1. Hemanth Rawat (Del), 2. Rahul Chowdhury (WB), 3. K. Venugopal (AP) and Akash M. Waghmode (Mah). Super fin: 1. Shivnath Guru Chavan (Goa), 2. Karan Saxena (MP), 3. K. Venkatesh (TN) and M. Hanil Das (Ker). Girls: Bantam: 1.
