Atwal in danger of missing the cut

Silvis (USA): Back in action after a four-month injury layoff, Arjun Atwal did not exactly have a fairytale return to the PGA Tour and the rusty Orlando-based Indian turned in two-over 73 and was tied 118th in the $4.3 million John Deere Classic golf tournament here.

Indian-born Swede Daniel Chopra, however, had reasons to smile as the former Asian Tour member fired a four-under 67 to take a share of 10th place.

American duo of Lee Janzen and Darron Stiles shared the top spot after a splendid round of 64 each.

Meanwhile, Jeev Milkha Singh brought home an even-par 71 to lie tied 79th but compatriots Shiv Kapur and Jyoti Randhawa risk missing the cut in the Barclays Scottish Open golf tournament in Loch Lomond after opening rounds of 75.
