Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court on Thursday reserved judgment on a petition by an NGO seeking directions to the Delhi Government to take effective measures to abolish child labour in the Capital.

The Court reserved the judgment on submission of a composite scheme by the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights for rescue and rehabilitation of child labourers and potential child labourers in the city.

The Commission has prepared the scheme following prolonged consultations with the Labour Department of the State Government, the Delhi police, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi and the petitioner in the matter, Bachpan Bachao Aandolan.
