“Register orphanages”

PUDUKOTTAI: The district administration has appealed to the voluntary and non-governmental organisations to register the orphanages and home for destitutes with the District Social Welfare Department as per the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Amend Act 2006. Similarly, people can approach the District Social Welfare Officer to protect women from family problems, according to a communication from J. Raghavan, District Revenue Officer and Collector (in charge), Pudukottai, here on Thursday.
