Interactive session on traffic problems

Staff Reporter

KOCHI: The city-based Centre for Public Policy Research (CPPR) will organise an interactive session on ‘Connecting the Dots: A SMART approach to solve traffic and transport issues in the developing world’, at Hotel Dream on Saturday.

A team of international experts and officials from the government would make presentations on solving traffic problems. They include Susan Zielinski, the MD of Sustainable Mobility and Accessibility Research and Transformation (SMART); Gordon Feller, CEO of Urban Age Institute; and Gary Lawrence, urban strategies leader of Arup, an agency that strives for sustainable development.

SMART focuses on sustainable transportation and accessibility in cities. The session will provide Kochiites with an opportunity to discuss and take steps to measures that can lead to development of roads and the transport network, said D. Dhanuraj, chairman of CPPR.
