3M India plans to launch more products

BANGALORE: 3M India has plans to consolidate its presence by introducing more products designed for the Indian market.
3M, which spends 6 per cent of its revenues on R&D, has an innovation centre in Bangalore, also the location of its first manufacturing plant in India. Managing Director, 3M India, Ajay Nanavati, told reporters here on Thursday that Rs. 170 crore was invested in the last two years in India.
This included the new Ranjangaon plant and expansion of the Ahmedabad plant. “One more R&D facility will come up in Bangalore with Rs. 60-crore investment. The facility here has already come up with more than 50 new products.
