Man arrested for throwing acid on 13

Gorakhpur: A man has been arrested for throwing acid on 13 people, including four women, after a row over sleeping on the roof of a house where he was a tenant, the police said here on Thursday.

Raj Kumar Kannaujia, a tenant at the house in Dharamsala Bazar area of Timarpur, allegedly threw acid at 13 fellow tenants on Wednesday night after he had a quarrel with them over the issue of sleeping on the roof.

Superintendent of Police Ramesh Kumar and other police officers rushed to the spot and arrested the accused. --PTI
