Helping NGOs hire talented manpower

BANGALORE: There is no dearth of online portals for job-seekers. But what sets barefootjobs.org apart is that it helps non-governmental organisations and other non-profit organisations hire talented manpower at costs that are lower than that of other portals.
Pari Jhaveri, executive director, Third Sector Partners, which runs the website, said: “We feel it is important to service the bottom of the pyramid, which works for the benefit of underserved sections of society.”
A non-profit company, the portal targets people such as government servants, retired professionals and postgraduates in social work or business administration. The job profiles featured included those on education, community development and environment, Ms. Jhaveri said.
