Arrangements for YSR’s visit reviewed

VISAKHAPATNAM: GVMC Commissioner B. Sridhar on Tuesday held a meeting to review the arrangements being made in view of Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s visit to the city on July 12.

He asked superintending engineers to speed up the work at the Police Barracks where the public meeting is scheduled to be held and all the works pertaining to road repairs and sanitation.

Apart from the public meeting, the Chief Minister will lay the foundation stone for the Rs. 190-crores north-east area water supply work and Rs. 47-crore old city water supply work.

The Chief Minister will also give away bank linkage loans to the tune of Rs. 3 crores to self-help groups and distribute house documents to the JNNURM beneficiaries.
