DGP appears before SHRC

HYDERABAD: Director-General of Police S.S.P. Yadav appeared before the State Human Rights Commissioner B. Subhashan Reddy in connection with a complaint lodged against him by a Deputy Superintendent of Police, mistakenly thinking that the case was posted on Tuesday.

Following the complaint by DSP M. Madhava Reddy alleging that the DGP harassed him by not giving a posting and withholding his salary for the past one-and-a-half years, the SHRC chairperson posted the matter to July 13.

When Mr. Yadav wanted to make an oral submission, Mr. Reddy told him to submit his report in writing.
