‘Stalking’ college correspondent arrested

Staff Reporter

VISAKHAPATNAM: Correspondent of a private college at Gajuwaka has been arrested on charge of harassing a girl student on Tuesday.

The accused K. Nooka Reddy, 33, has been stalking the girl from the time she was doing her Intermediate at his college.

He had expressed his desire to marry her but even after she turned down his offer, he continued to pester her.

She has completed her graduation and is now doing her post graduation in a different college but the stalker didn’t stop harassing her.

The accused has also started a malicious campaign, casting aspersions against her character.

The girl, who is now 20, lodged a complaint with the Gajuwaka Police on Monday against her tormentor.

“We have registered molestation and intimidation cases against the accused. We arrested and produced him in court today,” Gajuwaka CI Annepu Narasimha Murthy said.
