Lifer for murder

VISAKHAPATNAM: Judge of the Fast Track Court K. Veerapu Naidu on Tuesday found Moyya Appa Rao of G. Madugula guilty of murdering 19-year-old Dorababu on May 22, 2008 and sentenced him to undergo life imprisonment and to pay a fine of Rs. 200. The G. Madugula police investigated the case. Bhoolakshmi married to Moyya Pedaraju about 20 years ago and had two children, Dorababu and a girl. She left her family some years ago and was living with Appa Rao. Appa Rao used to beat Bhoolakshmi whenever Dorababu visited his mother.

Dorababu objected to Appa Rao beating his mother and enraged over this Appa Rao went to Dorababu’s house and attacked him with a knife. Dorababu died instantly.
