VISAKHAPATNAM: Soham Poddar and TVS Sagar of Bethany School won the city finals of the Limca Book of Records Quiz-2009 held at Etasi-Timpany School here on Tuesday. The winning team will now compete with 74 teams from an equal number of cities in the semi-finals to be held later. De Paul School, Ukkunagarm, emerged runner-up while ETASI-Timpany finished third in the city finals. Earlier in the day, 400 students from 60 schools battled it out at the inter-school level. Of these, the six teams that made it to the city finals were: Bethany School, De Paul School, Sri Prakash, Delhi Public School of Ukkunagaram, ETASI-Timpany Junior School and ETASI-Timpany Senior School. Renowned quiz master Derek O’ Brien hosted the quiz. Additional Commissioner of GVMC Mohan Rao distributed prizes to the winners and the runners up. Nanduri Prabhakara Rao, who entered the Guinness and Limca books, was present.
