Manmohan Singh leaves for Italy today

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will leave for Italy on Tuesday to attend a summit of G-8 heads of government, which will also be attended by the five Outreach countries — Brazil, China, India, South Africa and Mexico.

Measures to beat the economic slowdown and discussions on international commitments to counter climate change are expected to dominate discussions at the parallel G-8 and G-5 meetings.
