RBI Ombudsman assumes charge

Chandigarh: Lalit Srivastava, General Manager of the Reserve Bank of India, has assumed charge of Banking Ombudsman (Banking Lokpal) for the States of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh, Union Territory of Chandigarh and three districts of Haryana which include Panchkula, Ambala and Yamunanagar.

According to an official release, Mr. Srivastava has more than three decades of experience in various departments of the Reserve Bank, including supervision and regulation of commercial banks, cooperative banks and regional rural banks.
